Hey Glow getters!
After 13+ years in skincare, I can tell you one thing: most skin frustrations don’t come from bad skin… they come from small routine mistakes that people don’t even realize they’re making.
I see the same ones almost every day and the best part is, they are actually really easy to fix.
Let’s talk about three of the biggest ones and how to fix them:
Mistake #1: Not cleansing properly
If you’re wearing SPF, makeup, or you’re outside dealing with pollution and environmental stressors, a quick face wash isn’t always enough to fully clear the dirt.
Use a cleanser that actually helps resurface and clarify the skin. A formula with ingredients like glycolic and salicylic acid can help dissolve buildup, unclog pores, and smooth texture while cleansing.

Mistake #2: You’re skipping serum (or using it randomly)
A lot of people cleanse and moisturize… and stop there forgetting serums are where the real targeted treatment happens.
Two of my favorite serums include:
• Vitamin C to brighten and even tone
• Hydrating serums to support the skin barrier and maintain that healthy glow
Layered correctly, they help your skin look more vibrant, balanced, and resilient.
Mistake #3: Using products that aren’t right for your skin type
This is a popular one.
Someone with dry skin uses products made for oily skin.
Someone struggling with breakouts uses products that are too heavy.
When the routine isn’t aligned with your skin’s actual needs, it’s easy to feel like nothing is working.
The best routines are always personalized.
