Meet our founder

OB Nwaogbe is a 13-year licensed esthetician, a 3-year esthetics instructor, and the owner of Oh Be You Facial Bar and UDODI Skincare in Brooklyn, NY. With a foundation in media as a former television producer and reporter for outlets like NBC 4 Washington DC, PBS, and Montgomery Community Media, OB transitioned to a career that reflects her true passion: helping others achieve their best skin and empowering aspiring estheticians to thrive in the beauty industry.

Her journey into esthetics was deeply personal. Having never dealt with teenage acne, OB experienced severe breakouts, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation after college. Frustrated and searching for answers, she eventually turned to a dermatologist, who helped her reclaim her skin. This transformative experience inspired her to pursue esthetics and dedicate her career to helping others navigate their skincare challenges.

OB’s belief that no one should struggle with bad skin fuels her work at Oh Be You Facial Bar and UDODI Skincare. Her promise is simple: trust the process, and you will see results. She combines her deep knowledge of skincare ingredients with a personalized approach to deliver peaceful, youthful skin.

As an esthetics instructor, OB is equally passionate about mentoring and teaching the next generation of estheticians. She strives to equip her students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in the competitive beauty industry. Drawing from her 13 years of expertise, OB provides insights not only into effective skincare techniques but also into the business of beauty, empowering her students to build successful, sustainable careers.

In addition to her work in esthetics, OB is an advocate for accessibility in skincare and a proud graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. Her journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, passion, and the pursuit of purpose.

FAQs

  • Why do I need a Hydrating Serum
Hydrating serums are essentially hyaluronic acid, which is important to keep the skin properly hydrated. When the skin is hydrated, it is less likely to breakout, and it heals quicker.
  • Do Vitamin C serums do anything?
Yes. Vitamin C (Udodi Reveal C Serum) is an antioxidant which helps to protect the skin from environmental damages, reduces premature aging, and helps protect your skin from the sun. Best used during the day, followed by a SPF moisturizer of at least 30 and up.
  • Is using a SPF moisturizer daily necessary?
Using SPF is the secret to great skin! It'll keep wrinkles, fine lines, crows feet, loss of volume and elasticity at bay. The ozone layer is depleting, so don't leave the house without your SPF moisturizer of at least 30 and up.
  • Why use a Glycolic acid Cleanser?

A glycolic cleanser is essential for maintaining smooth, radiant skin because it gently exfoliates the surface, removing dead skin cells and promoting cell turnover. Its ability to penetrate deeply into pores helps unclog and refine them, reducing acne and blackheads. Regular use enhances the skin's texture and brightness, making it an excellent choice for achieving a healthy, youthful glow.

  • What is the function of a Salicylic acid cleanser?

A salicylic acid cleanser works by penetrating deep into the pores to dissolve excess oil and debris, effectively preventing and treating acne. Its anti-inflammatory properties help reduce redness and irritation, making it ideal for sensitive or acne-prone skin. Regular use helps to unclog pores, minimize blackheads and whiteheads, and promote a clearer complexion.
